Stephan R. Leimberg

Stephan R. Leimberg is CEO of Leimberg and LeClair, Inc., an estate and financial planning software company, CEO of LISI, Leimberg Information Services, Inc., an email newsletter service, and President of Leimberg Associates, Inc., a publishing and software company. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Masters of Taxation Program of Villanova University School of Law and former adjunct at Temple University School of Law. He holds a B.A. from Temple University, and a J.D. from Temple University School of Law. Leimberg is the Editor of the American Society of Financial Service Professionals audio publication, Keeping Current.

Leimberg is the author or co-author of numerous books on estate, financial, and employee benefit and retirement planning and a nationally known speaker. Leimberg is the creator and principal author of the entire nine book Tools & Techniques series including The Tools & Techniques of Estate Planning, The Tools & Techniques of Financial Planning, The Tools & Techniques of Employee Benefit and Retirement Planning, The Tools & Techniques of Life Insurance Planning, The Tools & Techniques of Charitable Planning, The Tools & Techniques of Investment Planning, The Tools & Techniques of Risk Management, The Tools & Techniques of Practice Management, and The Tools & Techniques of Retirement Income Planning. Leimberg has also spoken to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Leimberg was awarded the Excellence in Writing Award of the American Bar Association’s Probate and Property Section. He has been honored as Estate Planner of the Year by the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council and as Distinguished Estate Planner by the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. He is also a recipient of the President’s Cup of the Philadelphia Life Underwriters, a two time Boris Todorovitch Lecturer, and the First Ben Feldman Lecturer.

Leimberg was named Edward N. Polisher Lecturer of the Dickinson School of Law and 2004 recipient of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils Distinguished Accredited Estate Planner award.

Robert R. Johnson

Robert R. Johnson, Ph.D., CFA, CAIA is a Full Professor of Finance in the Heider College of business at Creighton University.  He teaches in the Master of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management Program and serves as the editor for the Quarterly Journal of Finance and Accounting.  Bob also serves on the board of RS Investments, a San Francisco-based investment management firm that is majority-owned by The Guardian Life Insurance Company, and oversees over $27 billion in managed funds.  He was formerly Senior Managing Director at CFA Institute, overseeing the Americas region, university relations, and the professional conduct program.  He was responsible for all aspects of the CFA Program for the majority of his fifteen-year tenure at CFA Institute.  In 2013, he received the Alfred C. “Pete” Morley Distinguished Service Award from CFA Institute in appreciation of his leadership, stewardship and outstanding service.

Prior to joining CFA Institute, Bob was a Professor of Finance at Creighton University from 1984 through 1996.  Throughout his academic career, Bob won several teaching awards and in 1994 earned the university-wide Robert F. Kennedy Award for Teaching Excellence.  Bob has over sixty refereed articles in leading finance and investment journals.  His publications have appeared in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Portfolio Management, Financial Analysts Journal, and the Journal of Alternative Investments.  He has extensive media relations experience both in the United States and abroad.  He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron’s, Forbes, Toronto Globe and Mail, South China Morning Post, Singapore Strait Times, LeTemps, and Nikkin Weekly Newspaper, among others.  He has appeared numerous times on ABC World News, Bloomberg TV (Europe and US), CNN, and China Business News, among others. 

Bob received his BSBA in finance (summa cum laude) from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1980, MBA (concentration in finance) from Creighton University in 1982, and PhD in finance/investments from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988.  He earned his CFA charter from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts in 1991.  He earned his CAIA charter from the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association in 2011.
