Registering with National Underwriter

To order products from our online store, you will first need to register. If you have been registered with us in the past, you will need to create a new registration profile on our new store. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please consult ALM Media's Privacy Policy.

You can return to the registration area at any time to make changes to your information or if you forget your password.

Finding Products

You can get a complete listing of products within a subject category by clicking on a link on the left navigation bar. Many products are listed in more than one category so that you can find them more easily.

If you know exactly what you are looking for and would rather search by product name or author, you can type in the keywords in the search box at the top right hand side of the page. Each individual product page contains a description and picture. Many selections also have text excerpts and a table of contents. You also can receive more information on a product by contacting customerservice@nuco.com

Ordering Products

You can order products online by going to that product's individual page and adding it to your shopping cart. Your shopping cart keeps track of your orders that you have selected on our site. You can view your shopping cart at any time by clicking the 'My Shopping Cart' link at the top right hand side of the site. When you are ready to purchase your products, click on the green 'Checkout' button.

Any sale prices or quantity discounts will automatically be applied to your order form. If your company or organization receives a special discount from National Underwriter, it will be applied after you enter your provided code on your order form.

You will receive a confirmation via e-mail once your order has been processed. If you do not receive this e-mail, or if you have any questions about your order, please contact customerservice@nuco.com.

What methods of payment can I use?
We accept Visa, MasterCard & American Express. If you prefer to receive an invoice with your shipment, please call our customer service department at 800-543-0874 with your company purchase order number.

What is your return policy? How do I return this product?
We have a 30-day return policy on books. There are instructions on the back of the invoice on how to return an item. Unopened software may be returned within 30 days.

How can I request a copy of my invoice?
Please call Customer Service at 800-543-0874 or email customerservice@nuco.com. Please have your invoice number and customer number ready.

Can we ship to a PO Box?
No, UPS will not ship to a PO BOX.

Do I need to add sales tax if I’m mailing/faxing in an order?

Receiving/Tracking My Order

National Underwriter uses the most trusted delivery services to send your order in a timely and convenient method. How long will it take for me to receive my order?
Shipping time will vary depending on your location, but most customers receive their order in 5-10 business days.

To ensure you remain up-to-date with the latest developments, you’ll automatically receive annual editions on our 30-day trial basis with no obligation to purchase. You will receive a notice each year prior to receiving your new edition. If you do not want the new edition, call 1-800-543-0874 or email us at customerservice@nuco.com by the reply date on the notice. You’ll have 10 days to respond; if not and you receive an unwanted edition, you may return it at our expense. Upon receipt, you’ll still be covered under National Underwriter’s 100% satisfaction guarantee, giving you a full 30 days in which to review, purchase, or return your order at your expense. If you don’t want the edition, you may return it within 30 days and write “cancel” on the invoice. You may cancel this automatic renewal service at any time simply by notifying The National Underwriter Company, a division of ALM Media, LLC.

What is the eBook taxation policy?
By default, electronically delivered products are considered to be shipped to your credit card billing address for taxation purposes. Where digital and shipped products are purchased together, the shipping address will be used for taxation purposes.

What is the return policy?
eBooks are non-returnable and non-refundable.

What happens if my computer crashes and I lose my digital library?
You may download an individual Digital Content file up to four (4) times from your order history on www.nationalunderwriter.com. So if something happens to the eBook file on your computer you simply use one of your allotted downloads.

Can I copy and print text from my National Underwriter eBooks?
You may copy, paste or print up to twenty (20) pages of text of any eBook every 45 days unless otherwise stated for any particular National Underwriter eBook.
You may annotate the text contained in any National Underwriter eBook.
You are not permitted to modify, alter, revise or otherwise change any National Underwriter eBook.
You are not permitted to create derivative works from any National Underwriter eBook.

Can I share my National Underwriter eBook?
You are not permitted to share, move, copy, reproduce, network or otherwise transfer any National Underwriter eBooks to any computer or other device of any other person.

I have two computers I actively use and an eReader device. Can I read my National Underwriter eBooks on all of my devices?
You are allowed to transfer/share your National Underwriter eBooks on up to six devices that support Adobe Digital Editions and that have been licensed to you. The Adobe Digital Editions website provides more details on how to access your eBook library from multiple computers/devices.
