Keynote Presentation: Enforcing the Law: Combating Insurance Fraud
Insurance fraud is the most costly "white-collar" crime committed in the United States, with the exception of income tax evasion. It has been estimated to cost Americans at least $80 billion a year. During his keynote address, Chief William Bratton will discuss how the Los Angeles Police Department is working with insurance companies to fight insurance fraud. He will share his vision of building a transparent community and policing that embraces partnership, problem solving and prevention.
